Student Trustees for 2024 / 2025 (March 1, 2024) The Algoma District School Board (ADSB) approved the appointment of three new Student Trustees for the 2024/2025 school year. They are Addy McEachren from Chapleau High School, Cameron Ciotti from White Pines C&VS and Georgia-June Abel from White Pines C&VS as our Indigenous Student Trustee. All appointments become effective as of August 1, 2024.

ADSB Welcomes Four New Trustees At the November 15th Inaugural Meeting, Algoma District School Board (ADSB) welcomed four new Trustees for the November 2022 to November 2026 term.
ADSB Chair & Vice Chair Selected (Nov 16, 2022) Algoma District School Board (ADSB) held their Inaugural Meeting on November 15, 2022. Jennifer Sarlo was acclaimed and will continue in her role as Chair of the Board while Elaine Johnston was nominated by Trustee Susan Myers and elected as ADSB’s new Vice Chair.
Student Trustees for 2023/2024 School Year (September 20, 2023) The Algoma District School Board (ADSB) welcomes three new Student Trustees for the 2023/2024 school year. They are Casey Bouvier from Chapleau High School, Andrew Vair from Superior Heights and Desirae Schell-Migwans from Superior Heights as our Indigenous Student Trustee. All appointments became effective as of August 1, 2023.
ADSB Welcomes and Supports Hundreds of Multilingual Learners (Oct 4, 2022) This fall Algoma District School Board (ADSB) has seen a significant increase in the number of Multilingual Learners registered with the Board. In August and September alone, ADSB welcomed 68 students from 13 countries to 23 of our schools speaking 16 different languages. Trustees at ADSB’s October 4th Committee of the Whole meeting learned more about the supports that are in place to welcome and register these students into our schools from Megan Turner McMillan (the Board’s K-12 ELL Coordinator) and Linda Kirby (ADSB’s Program System Administrator.)
